This years Rally
The 2010 Great Endeavour will see entrants gather in the heart of the bustling tourist mecca of Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast on Monday 12th July for registration and the welcome dinner. Following a hearty breakfast the next morning, the flag off will take place from one of the most picturesque beaches in Australia to head south into New South Wales, visit such places as Brooms Head, Red Rock, Valla Beach and Hat Head for overnight stops before turning inland to Taree for a night at Wingham. The field then sets off north to Queensland, but not before a chilly night in Tenterfield. Gallangowan is our next stop and that’s just north west of Kilcoy in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Next, it’s over to Rainbow Beach and the run up the coast, to cross the finish line on the Coral Coast’s seaside paradise, Bargara on Thursday 22nd July. We’ll take in some of the best bays and beaches Australia has to offer, but it wouldn’t be a Great Endeavour without experiencing some of Australia’s bushland. Covering over 3500kms, the route will head west during the day, to return to spend a night of fun, laughs and good times on the coast.
